quick update

Here's a quick update about what's been happening since my last post.

• I finally graduated from nursing school and am waiting for the wounded lesbian nursing administrators to send my letter of accomodation to the great state of SC so that I may take the NCLEX and become an RN. (The sooner the better. I have a job waiting on the surgical intensive care unit at Roper, and I feel like I might lose my spot if things don't move along in a hurry.
• For some off reason, Blogger is broken and won't let me change the template. You're gonna have to bear with the Grinch for a few more days.
• We did Christmas at Morris Island with JT's family and grilled burgers on the beach. It was 78 degrees, and the burgers were delicious, and we saw about 15-20 porpoise playing around the beach. Pretty cool.
• New Year's was a whirlwind. Woke up at 7:15am to find that my dog had swollen lips, snout, and periorbitals. It was awful, but with a super dose of steroids and a good friend/doggy sitter we still got to go out and have sleep over at Shem Creek. We went to Red's on Shem Creek and heard the Secret's, (our wedding band) Uncle Mingo, and the Blue Dogs all at one venue. It was a blast with the minor exception of a drunken friend who showed out. I will post pictures of everything once I get my head straight.
• I am starting a cleanse this evening which means that for the next 14 days I will not be able to enjoy cocktails and will probably shit my brains out in an effort to jumpstart my weightloss. I picked up the stuff at EarthFare, which is the Charleston version of WholeFoods, and the package promises that I will have well formed stools. Ha.

I hope that everyone enjoyed their holidays and got everything that they hoped for. From here on out we are getting closer and closer to warm weather and warm salt water for swimming. WOOP WOOP!
