I haven't posted in a while and it's because I've been busy as hell trying to get through these last few weeks of nursing school. I've been studying for the exit exam retake (99% on the second shot), going to class like a good girl, trying not to verbally assault my ridiculous clinical instructor, and cleaning house because my siblings (plus new a significant other) are coming in for graduation next week. All good stuff, just time consuming.
Today is the first real day that I have had large chunks of time to do my chores, starting with taking the Jeep for an oil change. Wouldn't you know it, I got up this AM and looked outside to find our (renter) neighbor parked on top of my newly sprouting rye grass. It's coming up sooooo nicely. I've always been a gardening freak, but recently JT and I decided Winter Rye would make the yard more lively till spring, and I have played hell getting it to grow. So homegirl with her lovely Pontiac POS (sorry) parked on it last night in a drunken stupor and now part of our yard will be all funked up after this rain passes. Gotta love living next door to renters. I wouldn't really complain but I'm kind of tired of picking up their cig butts and being woken up at 10:45-11pm on school/clinical nights when they get drunk and holler on the front porch. Any ideas about how to ditch these lovely ladies?
Fran/Beth, Little Fran, and I did the Reindeer Run last Saturday and had a pretty good time. The Reindeer Run is a 5K run/walk that happens in Chucktown each year, typically a few weeks before Christmas. It's a charity event so the entry fee goes to a good local cause. Everyone dresses up and dresses their dogs up and its just entertaining. It's also a challenge to watch where you step as you go because the doggies leave landmines up and down the Battery! Haha. There were all kind of vendors there and my favorite one was 3G Stepper bikes-a pretty badass invention if you're into beach cruisers. It's like a beachcruiser frame that has been changed so you step on the pedals to gain momentum, but you still steer with the normal handlebars. There's a shop opening right down the road in South Windermere shopping center this week. I haven't used ole Pinky in months-maybe I'll use some graduation flow to buy a Stepper....
I'm already counting the days til Spring, and warm salt water.

Good luck with the studying and the test! I'm sorry to hear about your neighbors, that's no fun. If it's late enough can't you call the police with a noise complaint?
bad neighbors suck... I still would say something to them about your grass. Good luck with your last bit of nursing school!!!
